Traveling from Glasgow:
Follow A82 North for Fort William for 89 miles approx
Turn right at Glencoe village follow the signs for Kinlochleven B863 for 7 miles.
You’ll find The Tailrace Inn in the centre of the village just over the bridge.
By Foot
As you approach Kinlochleven on the West Highland Way you will see a large sign for The Blackwater Hostel & Camp Site. Do not follow this sign but keep to the right at this point and cross the River Leven by the old wooden bridge. Follow this path and it will bring you on to Wades Road, continue along Wades Road till you come to the bus stop and you’ll see the WHW marker. Follow this path along the river bank till it meets the main road and you’ll see The Tailrace Inn in front of you.
By Rail
The nearest Railway station is Fort William.
From there it is a half hour bus ride to Glencoe and Kinlochleven.
By Bus
Regular Buses arrive in Fort William from the south (via Glencoe) and from Inverness in the north. Check the City-link website for times and costs.
The local number 44 bus runs between Glencoe, Kinlochleven and Fort William.
